Afghanistan: At least 3 killed in blast at mosque in Nangarhar

At least three people were killed in a blast at a mosque in Afghanistan’s restive Nangarhar province, while fifteen people sustained injuries.

According to AFP, the blast happened in Spin Ghar district of Nangarhar province on Friday. A taliban official has confirmed the blast during Friday prayers inside a mosque in Spin Ghar district.

The Taliban official has said that three people were killed and fifteen are injured in the blast so far.

The Afghan branch of the Daesh group has claimed responsibility for a series of bloody attacks in Afghanistan since the Taliban’s return to power.

It is to be mentioned here that more than one hundred and twenty people were killed in Deash attacks earlier this year on two mosques popular with the ethnic minority Hazara community.
