Afghanistan officially appoints Umar Gul as bowling coach

The former fast bowler of Pakistan Cricket Team, Umar Gul has been officially appointed as the bowling coach by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) for the team.

According to media reports, Umar Gul and Afghanistan Cricket Board have signed a one-year contract. He has previously worked with the Afghanistan team in a three-week assignment.

It is pertinent to mention here that Umar Gul represented Pakistan in 47 Tests, 130 ODIs and 60 T20 Internationals. He played a key role in helping Pakistan win the T20 World Cup in 2009.

The former Pakistani cricketer has also been the bowling coach of Quetta Gladiators in Pakistan Super League (PSL).
