The singer and actor Ali Zafar has praised the Brooklyn-based Pakistani singer Arooj Aftab for winning the first ever Grammy Award and said that the this is a sense of pride for the whole country.
According to details, Ali Zafar has expressed his views on Arooj Aftab Grammy winning achievement in a statement on social networking website Twitter. In the tweet, he wrote, “Wow ! This is amazing. @arooj_aftab Having witnessed your journey since back in the day, your perseverance and pursuit for knowledge in your field gives us great joy and a sense of pride. May you keep shining. Bohat si duyaayein. The news we should see all over national media.”

Pakistani singer Arooj Aftab has made the history and becomes the first Pakistani to win the Grammy Award for her song “Muhabbat” in the Best Global Performance category and she was also nominated for the Best New Artist category.
Arooj Aftab, who works mainly in the minimalist, jazz and neo-Sufi idioms, has attracted massive applause with her captivating music and different singing styles in the world. She gained recognition after former US president Barack Obama included the track ‘Mohabbat’ on his 2021 summer favorites list. She is also a music producer and composer who got her training from the Berklee College of Music.
