Canada lauds efforts of Pakistan to combat polio

The High Commissioner of Canada, Scanlon Leslie lauded Pakistan for their efforts to combat Polio.

According to the media reports, Canadian High Commissioner Scanlon Leslie expressed her views while talking to Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman during a meeting at Governor House in Lahore today (Thursday, August 10).

On this occasion, Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman has expressed keen interest in further expanding bilateral cooperation with Canada in trade, environment, and public relations. He also vowed to completely eradicate the polio virus from the province and thanked the Canadian government for its support in this regard.

Discussions were held on promoting bilateral cooperation in various fields including health, trade, environment, and mining during the meeting.
