Donald Trump thanked family & wife Melania

Donald Trump – the Republican candidate for the US Presidential Elections 2024 – has thanked his family, including his wife Melania.

According to the media reports, Donald Trump expressed his views during his speech after Fox News projected him as the winner of the 2024 United States presidential election. He referred to Melania as the “first lady”, thanking her for support during his bitter presidential campaign.

Trump, 78, also praised Melania’s namesake book, calling it the best-selling book in the country. “She’s done a great job,” he added, adding that she “works very hard to help people”. He also thanked his “amazing children,” mentioning them individually as they stepped on stage with him.

Trump’s comments came after he claimed victory in the 2024 presidential election after Fox News predicted that he would defeat Democrat Kamala Harris, capping a dramatic electoral return four years after leaving the White House. “America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate,” he told a raucous crowd of supporters at the Palm Beach County Convention Center on Wednesday morning, surrounded by his vice presidential running mate, Senator JD Vance, Republican leaders, and members of Trump’s family.

Other news sites were yet to call the race for Trump, but he appeared to be on the edge of victory after securing the battleground states of Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia and maintaining leads in the other four, according to Edison Research. The former president demonstrated strength across the country, outperforming his 2020 performance in rural and urban areas alike.

Republicans won a majority in the United States Senate after flipping Democratic seats in West Virginia and Ohio. Neither party appeared to have an advantage in the battle for control of the House of Representatives, where Republicans now enjoy a slim majority.
