The Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s sister, Bakhtawar Bhutto has felicitated the Brooklyn-based Pakistani singer Arooj Aftab for winning the first ever Grammy Award.
According to details, Bakhtawar Bhutto has congratulated Arooj Aftab in a statement on social networking website Twitter. She wrote, “Huge win – not just first female to win a Grammy from #Pakistan – but first Pakistani to win a #Grammy!! Congratulations @arooj_aftab ♥️”

Pakistani singer Arooj Aftab has made the history and becomes the first Pakistani to win the Grammy Award for her song “Muhabbat” in the Best Global Performance category and she was also nominated for the Best New Artist category.
Arooj Aftab, who works mainly in the minimalist, jazz and neo-Sufi idioms, has attracted massive applause with her captivating music and different singing styles in the world. She gained recognition after former US president Barack Obama included the track ‘Mohabbat’ on his 2021 summer favorites list. She is also a music producer and composer who got her training from the Berklee College of Music.
