Former cricketers condemn the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan

The former Pakistani cricketers condemned the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

According to the details, the former fast bowler Wasim Akar, Waqar Younis, and all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez have condemned the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

Former fast bowler Wasim Akar wrote in a statement released on the social networking site Twitter that you are alone but there are millions of people with you.

Waqar Younis also condemned the arrest of the PTI Chairman in a statement on the social networking website Twitter and wrote, “Captain! We are with you.”

Former All-rounder Muhammad Hafeez has described the arrest of the former Prime Minister Khan as a painful and condemnable act.

It is pertinent to mention here that as soon as Chairman PTI Imran Khan went to the appropriate office of the Islamabad High Court to get his biometrics done on Tuesday and he was detained by the Rangers on the way.

A statement issued by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) revealed that the Chairman of NAB directed the arrest of the PTI Chairman. It said that the warrant for Imran Khan was issued by NAB on May 1, and the warrant of his arrest was issued with the signature of the chairman of NAB.

Imran Khan has been arrested by the National Accountability Bureau under Section 9A of the National Accountability Ordinance 1999. He was arrested by NAB while taking action under 34A, 18E, and 24A.

The statement said that Imran Khan is accused of involvement in corruption and corrupt practices. It has been said on behalf of NAB that Imran Khan has been shifted to the NAB Rawalpindi office, after which he will be produced in the relevant court. He has been arrested in the Al-Qadir Trust case, but he was not detained by the Rangers.

The National Accountability Bureau further stated that Section 144 was already in force in Islamabad, and the Rangers were there to enforce the law on the orders of the Ministry of Interior. It has also been stated by NAB that the arrest of the PTI Chairman was ordered by NAB and it has also been implemented by NAB.
