Govt approves funds to meet liabilities of Roosevelt Hotel Corporation

The Federal Minister for Finance, Shaukat Tarin has approved a summary of Aviation Division for provision of funds to meet emergent liabilities of the Roosevelt Hotel Corporation.

According to media reports, the Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin has chaired the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the Finance Minister has directed to exercise due diligence in meeting emergent liabilities and submit utilization report. The meeting also directed to engage a world class consultant to meet the financial and operational challenges faced by Roosevelt.

The Committee has approved a Technical Supplementary Grant of Rs. 215 million for Election Commission of Pakistan to hold local elections in cantonment Boards.

The ECC also approved another grant of 50,100 million rupees for extending rupee cover against financing by the Asian Development Bank of 300 million dollars for procurement of Covid19 vaccine and ancillary goods and services.
