German Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office Dr Tobias Linde held a meeting with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar in Islamabad on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Hina Rabbani Khar underscored the high importance Pakistan attaches to its longstanding ties of amity and cooperation with Germany. She shared Pakistan’s keen desire to further strengthen the multifaceted bilateral cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, higher education, vocational training, migration and mobility, and renewable energy.

Minister of State also thanked Germany for its substantial support to Pakistan’s flood relief efforts and said the devastation caused by the flash floods in Pakistan had underlined the need for working together to address common challenges such as Climate Change and food security.
On the occasion, German Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Khar appreciated the recent signing of Letter of Intent for promoting legal migration between the two countries. The have also exchanged views on important regional and global issues, including the situation in Afghanistan, Ukraine conflict, Jammu and Kashmir dispute, and economic challenges faced by global community.
