HoYeon Jung receives first SAG award for Squid Game


The Korean actress HoYeon Jung has received the best actress award Screen Actors Guild awards and get emotional.

According to details, the Korean actress was awarded the outstanding actress in a drama series award for her role in Squid Game at the 2022 Screen Actors Guild awards on Sunday.

The Squid Game star was nominated along with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon from The Morning Show, Elisabeth Moss from The Handmaid’s Tale, and Sarah Snook from Succession. She beat out fellow nominees and received her first ever award.

HoYeon Jung became emotional during her acceptance speech after receiving award while discussing how she always dreamed of making it as an actor. She said, “First and foremost, thank you so much. I have sat many times watching you on the big screen dreaming of one day becoming an actor. I just want to say thank you so much.”

The actress also gave a special shout-out to her Squid Game crew and also expressed gratitude to her co-stars for “opening the door” for her to make it in the industry.
