I Want To Talk: Aaradhya Bachchan inspires father for the role

Abhishek Bachchan is all set to spread magic on big screens again with I Want To Talk and he said that his daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan inspired him for the role with one of her books.

According to the media reports, Abhishek Bachchan, who recently dazzled viewers with performances in Dasvi and Ghoomer, is back on the big screen to spread enchantment once more. The actor’s latest film, I Want to Talk, will be released on November 22, 2024, and during one of his promotional interviews, he said that his daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, inspired him for the role through one of her books.

In an interview, Abhishek Bachchan discussed how Aaradhya’s learning about ‘courage’ influenced his role as Arjun in the upcoming film. He wrote: “When Aaradhya was younger, she had a book in which one character described ‘help’ as the most courageous word in the world.” The actress was moved by the simple yet profound message, which emphasized that requesting help is not a sign of weakness. Rather, it is a powerful sign of resilience and a refusal to give up. Bachchan continued, “It implies you’re not ready to quit. You will do whatever it takes to continue.”

The actor could relate the concept to his role as ‘Arjun’ in I Want To Talk, stating that his character is a courageous individual who refuses to give up while facing obstacles for over three decades. Abhishek explained his mentality and ideology, saying, “He will not give up. It’s extremely easy for someone who has dealt with the things he has and continues to deal with to be fed up after 31-odd years and say, “I’ve had enough, I don’t want to go on”.

I Want to Talk marks Abhishek’s debut collaboration with Shoojit Sircar. The latter is one of Bollywood’s most respected modern filmmakers, having produced critically praised films such as October, Sardar Udham, Piku, and others. He collaborated with Abhishek Bachchan’s father, Amitabh Bachchan, in Piku (2015) and Gulabo Sitabo (2020), and Piku earned the megastar his fourth National Film Award for Best Actor. Meanwhile, the I Want To Talk teaser was released on November 5, 2024, and has gotten excellent feedback from fans and industry insiders.
