Imran Khan – the Founding Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Prime Minister – has called on PTI supporters to march to Islamabad on November 24.
This was stated by PTI founder Imran Khan’s lawyer Faisal Chaudhry and his sister today (Wednesday, November 13) while talking to the media in Rawalpindi. The Lawyer said, “Imran Khan says this is the final call for a [anti-government] protest. The PTI founder has stressed that the party’s entire leadership will be part of the march. The protest will not only take place in Islamabad but throughout Pakistan and across the world where Imran’s supporters are present.”
Lawyer Faisal Chaudhry further stated that Imran Khan also formed a committee for the march and asked not to reveal the names of those who are part of it as Imran fears they’ll be arrested. He said that all party leaders are aware of their responsibilities and the committee would have the authority to call off the protest — ensuring that no single person calls the shots.

There was tremendous sadness, as previously stated by PTI leader Ali Zafar, when Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur ended the Swabi rally without a schedule for the protest. This exacerbated the existing discontent of workers who participated in the Islamabad demonstration last month, which ended suddenly. The lawyer went on to say that KP Chief Minister Gandpur would also lead a convoy from the province following the PTI founder’s instructions.
Chaudhry detailed the PTI March to Islamabad on November 24 protest’s demands, which include the withdrawal of the contentious 26th Constitutional Amendment, the “return of PTI’s mandate” and the release of workers imprisoned without trial. Before this announcement, sources told The News that, while the PTI founder demanded a date for a do-or-die ultimate protest and possible sit-in in Islamabad, he was being persuaded by the party’s senior leaders that such a protest would backfire if announced without proper planning and consideration of all pros and cons.
Meanwhile, Rana Sanaullah, Adviser to Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs, cautioned two days ago that the PTI founder was “mistreating” his party members and supporters by issuing a “do-or-die” protest call, which could result in a crackdown on them.
