The Vice President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Maryam Nawaz has lashed out at Prime Minister Imran Khan over his recent statement about sexual violence in society.
In a press conference in Lahore on Wednesday, Maryam Nawaz has said that the statement of PM Imran Khan is a reflection of a criminal mindset and he revealed his shallow thinking to the nation. She said that Pakistan needed freedom from a mentality that held the victim of a violent incident to blame.

The PML-N leader has asked that what of the little children that are sexually abused; are they subjected to sexual violence because of their dressing? She said that Imran Khan should be ashamed over such a statement.
Maryam accused Prime Minister of insulting rape victims and said that his words would add insult to injury for parents of the victims of these tragedies. She said that they will be ashamed as you have held them responsible.
Answering a question about her father’s return, she said if she was provided a guarantee that Nawaz Sharif’s life would not be in danger, she would call him back to Pakistan this instant.
