Lahore: Maryam Nawaz Sharif – the Chief Minister of Punjab – has reiterated the government’s commitment to promoting national sports particularly hockey across the province.

According to the media reports, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif expressed her views while talking to the national hockey team’s players in Lahore, she assured full support for the betterment of hockey.

The Chief Minister praised the hockey players for reviving the national game. She directed the Provincial Minister for Sports Faisal Ayub to maintain contact with the players for the promotion of hockey in the province.

The Punjab Chief Minister also emphasized the need for collective efforts to promote sports at the grassroots level. She expressed hope that the national team will shine brighter in the future.
