Mahira Khan – the Superstar of the Pakistani showbiz industry – has reacted strongly to an object being thrown at her during an event in Quetta terming the incident as “unacceptable”.
According to the details, Mahira Khan who is known for her on-screen presence and grace has expressed her views in a statement on her official Instagram account while sharing a compilation video of the event. She said, “No one should think it’s okay to throw something on stage, even if it’s a flower wrapped in a paper plane. It sets the wrong precedent. It is unacceptable.”
Actress Mahira Khan is talking about an event where she was at the Pakistan Literature Festival (PLF) in Quetta when something was thrown at her. It didn’t strike her, but it nevertheless shocked and seemed to disappoint her. “This is wrong,” Mahira remarked as the host cut her off with an object hurled by an anonymous person in the crowd.

Mahira disagreed with the idea of canceling events in Quetta, even though she acknowledged that she occasionally “gets scared” for both her safety and the safety of others due to the danger of becoming ensnared in a “mob-like” situation.
The actress wrote, “Here was a crowd of 10,000 or more… who were showing their love and excitement – the way They know best. Because I could see them I could see they didn’t know how to contain/express their excitement. Whoever the miscreant was, was 1 out of 10,000. Maybe I should have gotten up and left, maybe the crowd could have been screened, maybe I should not have been put on the spot.. lots of could haves and should haves. What I do feel strongly about is this – we NEED more events such as these in More cities of Pakistan. The more you are exposed the more you are aware and educated. Normalize it. And see what happens. People, cities, our culture, our understanding of each other ( which lacks), unity ( which lacks even more).. it will all flourish!”
However, it seems that the star had a rather good time during her stay in Quetta and was unfazed by the unfortunate incident as she hinted at plans for returning to the city. She wrote, “I met the most amazing people. We sat together under the beautiful Quetta sky and ate delicious food.. while we shared stories, laughed, and made plans for my next visit. I come back enriched. I love you Quetta. Thank you for the insane amount of love. 🙏🏼”
