Mill owners extracts Rs126 to 140 billion from the pockets of people: PM Imran Khan

The Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the inquiry reports revealed that how the mill owners and powerful people had minted money.

According to media reports, the Prime Minister stated this while talking to journalista in Sargodha on Wednesday.

Imran Khan has said that the incumbent government onducted an inquiry through the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). He said that the startling report submitted by the FIA is showing how the mill owners and powerful people had minted money by increasing price and tax evasion.

While responding to a question asked by a journalist, he said that the sugar price had been increased by 26 rupees in one year and the mill owners extracted 126 to 140 billion rupees from the pockets of people.

The Premier reiterated that there can be no two different sets of laws for the powerful and the poor as the destruction in a society has always been caused by the powerful elite.
