Nation observes 54th death anniversary of Madar-e-Millat Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah

Pakistan has observed the 54th death anniversary of Madar-e-Millat Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah with reverence and respect on Friday.

The nation still remembered Fatima Jinnah for her passionate support for civil rights and devoted struggle in Pakistan Movement. She is referred to as the Madar-e-Millat or Mother of the Nation for her dynamic role in the Pakistan freedom movement.

The Madar-e-Millat passed away in Karachi on 9th July 1967.

The Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has paid tributes to Madar-e-Millat and said that it was a great honour for his family that his paternal uncle Chaudhry Altaf was one of the key leaders of her caravan in West Pakistan in the 1964 elections.
