The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) of India has summoned director-producer Karan Johar on Thursday over the Bollywood drugs nexus case.

According to Santabanta, NCB has sent the notice in connection with a party video that Karan Johar hosted in July 2019 that featured many Bollywood stars.

The video of that party went viral raising questions about some powdered substance that was being seen in the video.

NCB has been seeking the consumption of drugs and it’s spread in the Hindi film industry. All this comes after Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa filed a complaint with the NCB alleging consumption of drugs at his party.

The Narcotics Bureau has issued summons the filmmaker to check the video in regard to the drug’s consumption under section 67(B) of the NDPS Act. 67(B).

The reports said that the filmmaker does not need to mark his physical appearance but will have to co-operate with the investigating agency in explaining the viral video.

It is to be mentioned here that the Bollywood drugs case was in trend when many film stars were questioned after the demise of the actor Sushant Singh Rajput and Karan Johar is not the only one to get summoned by the NCB, celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, and Arjun Rampal were earlier summoned by NCB.
