The Vice Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Foreign Minister, Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that not implementing the Supreme Court’s decision regarding funds to the Election Commission is contempt of court.

According to the details, the PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi made these remarks regarding Election Commission funds while talking to the media today (Monday, April 17). He said that the court has given the verdict according to the constitution and the law, and the government is playing a blind game, these are evasive tactics. We have never refused the talks, we are political people, we talk and talk, and the talks will be within the framework of the constitution.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi further stated that the decision of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab is of constitutional nature, elections within ninety days is a provision of the constitution, and we cannot show any flexibility on this, it must be removed from the constitution. He said that Balochistan, Sindh, National Assembly can sit and discuss when they should be dissolved.

The former Foreign Minister said that the timing will not be on the choice of Asif Ali Zardari, the timing will be according to the constitution. He said that everything cannot be done according to my wish, I am bound by the law and rules.
