Outgoing CJCSC General Nadeem Raza calls on President Arif Alvi


The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Nadeem Raza has paid a farewell call on President Dr. Arif Alvi at the President’s House.

During the meeting on Thursday, President Dr. Arif Alvi has General Raza’s services for national defence. It was the last meeting of (CJCSC), General Nadeem Raza with the president as the federal government has named Lt Gen Sahir Shamshad Mirza as the next Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee.

General Raza has been serving as Pakistan’s 17th Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee since November 2019.

The outgoing CJCSC also called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the PM House. The premier paid tribute to the outgoing CJCSC for his services to Pakistan Army.

It is to be mentioned here that the Federal Minister for Defence, Khawaja Asif said that the appointment of the Army Chief and CJCSC is a “test” for PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
