Pakistan and Saudi Arabia needs to develop broad-based partnership

President Dr. Arif Alvi has Pakistan accorded utmost importance to its ties with Saudi Arabia which always supported Pakistan in difficult times.

According to media reports, the President has made these remarks while talking to Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy who called on him in Islamabad on Tuesday. He said both countries enjoy significant convergence on a number of regional and global issues.

On the occasion, the President has underscored the need to develop a strategic and broad-based partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in different fields for mutual interest of both countries.

Dr Arif Alvi has highlighted that over 2 million Pakistani diaspora in Saudi Arabia is playing a significant role in the progress and development of both countries. He also asked the Ambassador to convey his warm regards to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness and shared that the people of Pakistan pray for his good health and long life.

During the meeting, it was emphasized to further enhance commercial ties and encourage businessmen and chambers of commerce of both countries to interact regularly to further boost bilateral trade relations.
