Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are partners in progress and prosperity and both countries understand each other’s sentiments and share each other’s happiness and grief.

This was stated by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during an exclusive interview with Al Arabiya English. He also discussed the strong bonds that exist between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, saying there is no parallel to it.  

The Prime Minister referred to recent interactions between the two nations, such as the holding of a joint investment conference, and stated that these demonstrate the seriousness and sincerity of the Saudi leadership to improve ties with Pakistan in all areas, including trade, investments, people-to-people contacts, and culture.

According to the prime minister, both nations have identified areas for business-to-business and government-to-government interaction. We now have a definite plan for investing in the mining, mineral, and renewable energy sectors. According to him, the delegation from Pakistan is in Riyadh primarily to bring to fruition an investment portfolio related to solar energy. He called attention to this as a critical sector and stated that important announcements about solar energy, mining, and minerals would be made.  

PM Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the potential of the agricultural industry and stated that he is confident that cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan would improve the production of fruits, vegetables, wheat, cotton, sugarcane, and other agricultural products. The speaker expressed his belief that collaboration in the information technology sector will enhance the mutual integration between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, saying the former is well-positioned to capitalize on the latter’s experience and knowledge in this domain.

The Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed Bin Salman, has been praised greatly by the Prime Minister, who stated that in the past eight years, his innovative and active leadership has completely changed the Kingdom.  He claimed that many nations around the world, including Pakistan, could learn from the Crown Prince’s 2030 vision.
