Pakistan and China expressed commitment to utilize the blue economy concept to further strengthen economic ties under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
According to media reports, the commitment has been expressed during a meeting between the Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Syed Ali Haider Zaidi and Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong in Islamabad on Saturday. Both sides discussed blue economy concept in detail.
During the meeting, the Maritime Minister and Chinese Ambassador also held discussion on bilateral cooperation in the maritime sector.

The two sides also discussed the matters related to making Gwadar Port fully operational.
