Pakistan closes Torkham border due to coronavirus

The Federal Minister for Interior, Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said that the Torkham border has been closed from today for all kind of traffic due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

According to details, the Interior Minister has made the announcement in a statement on social networking website Twitter on Tuesday.

Sheikh Rashid Ahmed further stated that the decision of closing Torkham has been taken keeping in view the directions of National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).

“Torkham Immigration Center on Pak-Afghan border will remain close till the fresh guidelines of the NCOC,” he added.
