Pakistan may close Chaman border for some days due to threats: Rashid

The Federal Minister for Interior, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that the Chaman border with Afghanistan may be closed for some days due to some threats.

According to media reports, the Interior Minister has made these remarks while talking to the media persons in Islamabad on Thursday.

On the occasion, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that our forces are present at the border and we are proud of our security institutions for the service they are rendering for the security of the country. He said Pakistan desires peace and stability in Afghanistan.

The Interior Minister further stated that peace in Afghanistan is important for peace in Pakistan.

While answering a question, he said it is not time for long march rather we have to sit together to take forward the country and deal with the challenges.

The Minister has said that the opposition may hold the long march within the ambit of law but nobody will be allowed to play with the law and order situation.
