Pakistan safe for all international sports

The Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that Pakistan is safe for all sorts of international tourism, sports and business activities, after New Zealand and England cancelled their tours.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief has made these remarks while talking to Greek Ambassador to Pakistan Andreas Papastavrou at the General Headquarters on Tuesday. He said that we encourage healthy bilateral exchanges in all areas of common interest.

During the meeting, General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Greek Ambassador have dicussed the matters of mutual interest, regional security situation — especially the current situation in Afghanistan — and cooperation in various fields were discussed.

General Bajwa further stated that akistan remains committed to cooperating with its international partners for peace in the region and ensuring a stable and prosperous future for the Afghan people.

On the occasion, Ambassador Andreas Papastavrou has appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in controlling the pandemic through a coordinated national response and hailed Islamabad’s role in the Afghan situation, including the successful evacuation operations and efforts for regional stability.
