Pakistan wants to promote cooperation with Niger in diverse fields: FM Qureshi

The Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Niger at all international forums, including the United Nations, is satisfying.

According to media reports, the Foreign Minister has expressed these views while talking to Niger parliamentary delegation headed by President National Assembly Seyni Oumarou in Islamabad on Tuesday.

During the meeting, Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan wants to promote cooperation with African countries, including Niger, in diverse fields, particularly trade and economy. He said Pakistan and Niger enjoy strong and stable relations.

The Foreign Minister has said that promotion of parliamentary ties between the two countries is also a welcome development. He also thanked the Niger leadership for full support to resolution of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in the meeting.

On the occasion, President National Assembly Seyni Oumarou has appreciated Pakistan’s assistance in difficult times and thanked Pakistan’s leadership in this regard.

FM Qureshi and Seyni Oumarou welcomed the Parliamentary Cooperation Agreement between Pakistan and Niger.
