Pakistan’s first ever Paralympics gold medalist Haider Ali gets heroic welcome on his arrival

The first-ever Pakistani to bag a gold medal in the Paralympic Games, Haider Ali has returned homeland on Monday morning and get a heroic welcome on his arrival.

According to media reports, the Pakistani Para-athlete became number one in the Men’s Discus Throw competition. He recorded his personal best throw of a striking 55.26m that led him towards the gold medal glory.

A large number of people were present at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport on Monday morning to welcome their hero. The Sports Minister fo Punjab, Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti received Haider Ali at the airport.

On the occasion while talking to media, the country’s hero has thanked the nation for praying for his success in the global competition.

“Winning a medal for Pakistan at the Olympics was my dream,” he added.

In his remarks, the Sports Minister has said that the Punjab government was committed to promote sports and providing all possible facilities to the athletes in the province. He maintained that the we are taking measures so that the country could regain its lost glory in the sports world.
