PBS extends 7th population and housing census date till Saturday

The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics has extended the date for the 7th population and the housing census till Saturday to complete three percent remaining fieldwork.

According to the details, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics has issued a notification today (Monday, April 10) regarding the extension of the 7th population and housing census date and said that 97 percent of fieldwork has been completed which is a great pleasure for the nation.

The Bureau further stated that the census fieldwork has been completed by over 99 percent in Punjab, 98 percent in Sindh, 90 percent in Islamabad, and 82 percent in Baluchistan while the census work has almost been completed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK).

The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics added that the census work has been completed 100 percent in 131 districts out of 156 districts across the country while 70 to 80 percent of census work completed in the remaining 25 districts and work is in progress. It is pertinent to mention here that the work completion percentage may slightly increase after the synchronization of data from some completed blocks which fall in the offline zone.
