PM announces Rs 5 lac for families living under poverty line in Balochistan

The Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has a new welfare program under Benazir Income Support Program, worth ten billion rupees, for 0.5 million families living under poverty line in the province.

According tp media reports, the Prime Minister has made the announcement while adressing the inaugural ceremony of the construction work on Kuchlak- Khuzdar section of Quetta-Karachi National Highway in Quetta on Saturday.

On the occasion, PM Shehbaz Sharif has said that with unity and consensus, Balochistan will be put on path of rapid development and prosperity. He assured that effective measures will be taken to resolve chronic problems of Balochistan, including missing persons.

The Premier further stated that Quetta-Karachi Highway will be converted into the road of progress and prosperity. He directed the concerned authorities to complete the dualization work of Chaman-Quetta-Karachi Highway within eighteen months.

PM Shehbaz Sharif has also announced establishment of a state of the art Technical University in Balochistan. He directed the concerned authorities to make a feasibility report for the establishment of Metro Bus Service in Quetta.
