PM, Army Chief visits Peshawar Corps Headquarters and expresses satisfaction over efficacy of Border Management Regime

The Prime Minister Imran Khan has visited Peshawar Corps Headquarters along with Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Friday.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister has expressed satisfaction over the efficacy of Pakistan’s comprehensive Border Management Regime and the pragmatic measures being taken to ensure effective border control and internal security.

PM Imran Khan has appreciated the security forces for providing enabling environment for completion of socio-economic development projects in the newly merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which are vital for enduring stability and sustainable progress of the area.

The Premier also lauded the formation for its dedicated assistance to civil administration during the novel coronavirus pandemic, Locust, anti-polio campaigns and tree plantation drive.

During the visit, PM Imran Khan was apprised of various contingencies planned to tackle the evolving security situation along Pak-Afghan International Border. He also laid floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Monument.
