President Alvi calls for enhanced economic relations b/w Norway, Pakistan

The outgoing Ambassador of Norway to Pakistan, Kjell-Gunnar Eriksen has called on the President Dr. Arif Alvi in Islamabad on Friday.

During the meeting, the President has emphasized the need for enhanced economic and cultural relations between Norway and Pakistan. He said that both the countries have huge potential to boost trade and economic cooperation for the mutual benefits of the two sides.

Dr Arif Alvi further stated that Norway has been a strong partner for investment, trade and development cooperation. The presence of a large number of Norwegian companies in Pakistan is a testimony to growing trade relations between Pakistan and Norway, he said.

President Alvi also highlighted the brutalities being committed by India in Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir against the Muslim population. He emphasized that the world needs to fulfill its commitment to grant the people of Kashmir their right to self-determination in accordance with the United Nations Security Council resolutions.
