President Arif Alvi making efforts for Imran Khan, asks wife to reach out arrested leader’s sisters

The President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi expressed solidarity with the PTI Chairman Imran Khan and asked his wife Samina Alvi to reach out to the arrested leader’s sisters Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan.

According to the media reports, President Arif Alvi, following Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s arrest, asked his wife Samina Alvi to contact Imran Khan’s sisters and convey that he is making efforts for his well-being. He shared his sentiments with his spouse and asked her to contact Imran’s sisters.

The reports said that the first lady established contact with Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan by phone.

In a statement, Samina Alvi said that when she reached out to Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan they informed her that there was no case of plundering of national wealth against their brother. She said that both the sisters of Imran Khan were upset over the arrest of their brother and impressed upon the people to continue peaceful protest as long as the PTI chief is not released.

Meanwhile, the reports also said that President Arif Alvi is maintaining his contact with the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to ascertain the situation and have a discussion with them on political developments. Arif Alvi is making efforts for Imran Khan and his well-being.
