President urges people to observe SOPs as pandemic not over yet

The President of Pakistan, Dr Arif Alvi has requested the masses to keep observing the standard operating procedures (SOPs) against the novel coronavirus pandemic, as the disease is not yet over completely.

According to media reports, the President was giving an interview to a private TV channel.

During the interview, Dr Arif Alvi has said that Pakistan has successfully tackled the coronavirus pandemic through a combination of factors including face masks, frequent hand washing and social distancing.

“The same combination of factors is essential for future too, as the country is witnessing second wave of Covid19 cases,” he said, adding that Pakistan was recognized for maintaining balance between lives and livelihood as the government strived to keep up the economic activity.
