PTI Protest Pakistan: Ali Amin Gandapur – the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – has said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s protest is still on and that only party founder Imran Khan can call it off.
According to the details, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur announced this during a press conference in Mansehra today (Wednesday, November 27). He alleged that the PTI has been subjected to severe oppression, with baseless cases being registered against its members.

“Our party has experienced coercion. “Our leader [Imran Khan] is in prison, and so was his wife [Bushra Bibi],” he continued. He maintained that the PTI is a peaceful party that has always campaigned for the supremacy of the Constitution. In the early hours of Wednesday, the Imran Khan-founded party announced a “temporary suspension” of its “do-or-die” protest after a midnight crackdown by law enforcement effectively dispersed the PTI workers.
In response, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar lambasted the PTI, saying, “Such a gigantic disaster has become their destiny. This wasn’t the final call, but rather a missed one.” He suggested that the KP Chief Minister’s name be changed to “Ali Amin Bhagoora (deserter) instead of Ali Amin Gandapur”.
Meanwhile, the party claims that eight of its members were slain during the standoff with law enforcement, while government officials say three Rangers and two other police officers were killed. PTI leader Shaukat Yousafzai expressed alarm at the abrupt halt to the Islamabad protest, saying that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leadership had “disappointed” him.
