The legendary Indian actor, Anil Kapoor has celebrated the 20 years of the release of his blockbuster and historic film Nayak on Tuesday.
The Bollywood actor took to his Twitter account, shared a still from the movie and wrote, “20 years ago I was the Reel life CM for a day and the rest is history!”
Anil Kapoor further stated that a lot of people had their views about him doing Nayak but he knew that he had to do this film and he believed in its message. And now here we are celebrating #20yearsofNayak!!, he added.

It is to be mentioned here that film “Nayak” was directed by S. Shankar and Anil Kapoor portrayed the role of Shivaji Rao, an honest journalist. The other cast of the film also includes Rani Mukerji, Paresh Rawal and Amrish Puri.
Nayak: The Real Hero hit the cinemas on September 7, 2001.
