Russia vetoes Security Council resolution on Ukraine

Russia has vetoed the United Nations Security Council resolution condemning the attack on Ukraine.

According to media reports, the UN Security Council has passed a resolution condemning the attack on Ukraine, which was vetoed by Russia.

China did not take part in the Security Council voting on the resolution condemning the attack on Ukraine, while the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and India also abstained.

Meanwhile, the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has said that the Russian troops need to return to the barracks. He said that we must not give up and give another chance to peace.

On the other hand, Canada and United Kingdom have also announced sanctions on Russian President Vladimir Putin and foreign minister.
