Saudi Crown Prince invites PM Imran Khan to visit Riyadh and wishes him speedy recovery

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has invited the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan to visit Saudi Arabia.

In a tweet on Monday, the Prime Minister’s office has said that the Prime Minister Imran Khan has received a telephone call from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The Prime Minister’s office has said that Prince Mohammed bin Salman inquired about Imran Khan’s health and wished him speedy recovery.

According to the Prime Minister Office, Imran Khan also inquired about the wellbeing of the Saudi Crown Prince who had recently undergone a surgical procedure.

During the conversation the Saudi Crown Prince has invited PM Imran Khan to visit Riyadh. Both leaders also discussed bilateral ties.

It is to be mentioned here that yesterday Imran Khan wrote a letter to Saudi royals, lauding their “Saudi Green Initiative and Green Middle East Initiative”.

In the letter, the Prime Minister wrote, “It gives me immense pleasure to extend my best greetings and hope that Your Royal Highness is in good health and safe from the pandemic. I would like to convey deep respects and warm wishes for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman Bin Abdulaziz. I am delighted to learn about Your Royal Highness’s plans for launching ‘Saudi Green Initiative’ as well as rallying the region for the larger ‘Green Middle East Initiative’ aimed at protecting the nature and planet.

Meanwhile, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Bangladesh Imran Siddiqui called on PM Imran Khan. He briefed the Prime Minister on relations between the two countries.

PM Imran Khan has directed the High Commissioner of Pakistan to Bangladesh to continue efforts to promote bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Premier also conveyed good wishes for the leadership and people of Bangladesh.
