The anti-graft watchdog officer, Shahzad Saleem has been appointed as the director-general (DG) for Lahore National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Friday.
According to a notification of NAB, since Saleem has been posted to the office, ex-DG NAB Lahore Jamil Ahmed has been asked to report to NAB Headquarters.

According to media reports, the post of the DG NAB Lahore is not new to Shahzad Saleem as he was posted here from 2017 to 2021 and he made record recoveries during his four years. He made direct recoveries worth Rs. 7 billion and Rs. 77 billion indirectly, while under him, NAB Lahore filed recovery references worth Rs. 60 billion.
When Shahzad Saleem was transferred to the NAB Headquarters, he was posted as the director awareness and prevention division.
