Statements of opposition leaders on IMF programme are hypocritical - ET

The Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Fawad Chaudhry has termed the statements by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Shahbaz Sharif and Peoples Part Chairman Bilalwal Bhutto Zardari on International Monetary Fund (IMF) programme as shockingly hypocritical.

According to details, the Information Minister has expressed his views in a statement on social networking website Twitter on Mondaqy.

In a tweet, the Federal Minister has pointed out that Pakistan has so far borrowed around 13.79 billion dollars from the IMF, out of which 47 percent of the loans were secured by Peoples Party, followed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz at 35 percent, while the other governments stand at merely 18 percent.

Fawad Chaudhry has advised the opposition leaders to see record before issuing any statements to avoid embarrassment.
