The verdict in the murder case of Pakistani-American citizen Wajiha Swati was pronounced.

According to media reports, the verdict in the murder case of Wajiha Swati was pronounced by the Additional District and Sessions Judge. The main suspect in the case and ex-husband of the victim, Rizwan Habib has been sentenced to death and ten years in prison.

The court has also sentenced the suspects, Muhaiaratullah and Sultan, to 7 years in prison. All the accused were present at the time of the verdict and the US FBI team was also present.

It is pertinent to mention here that the accused Rizwan Habib, the ex-husband of the deceased, who was arrested in the case of the murder of an American woman of Pakistani origin in Rawalpindi, confessed to the crime during the investigation.
