An alert has been issued by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) about rains in different parts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from Thursday till Sunday.
According to media reports, in this connection PDMA has sent a letter to the concerned Deputy Commissioners of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to take precautionary measures to avert any human and material loss in the province.
The Authority alsp advised the tourists to avoid visiting hilly areas during this period because the rains can cause flash floods and landsliding in hilly areas.
PDMA have asked the general public to contact on its helpline 1700 in case of any emergency.
