The ICC T20 World Cup 2021 is all set to begin on Sunday, October 17. The tournament will kick-off with the Oman vs PNG encounter in the Al Almerat cricket stadium in Muscat, Oman. The group stage will end on October 22 after which the Super 12 stage will commence, i.e. from October 23.

It is after a long gap of 5 years that a T20 World Cup is being held. Earlier, this edition of the T20 World cup was scheduled for the year 2020 but due to the pandemic situation, it was shifted ahead into the current year. 16 teams are set to battle for a span of 29 days in order to claim the World T20 title.
