The efforts of Pakistan for ecosystem restoration have been lauded by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) on Tuesday.
According to media reports, the Regional Director of UNEP for Asia and the Pacific Dechen Tsering has said in a statement that large scale restoration initiatives such as The Ten Billion Tree Tsunami Project are central to Pakistan’s efforts to support the United Nations Decade and to increase ecosystem restoration.

The Regional Director further stated that we are at a point in history where we need to act, and Pakistan is leading on this important effort.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has shared these very remarks of the United Nations Environment Program on his twitter handler. He said he is proud of his team engaged in the environment related projects.
