UAE warned that Pakistanis in the Gulf state that if they are found to be involved in spreading propaganda against their country, institutions, or politicians, they would not get visas for the oil-rich countries.

The general consul of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Karachi, Bakheet Ateeq al-Remeithi, has urged Pakistanis to desist from propaganda, disseminating false information, citing instances when citizens and visitors to the Gulf state were identified on social media and several of them were detained and given 14–15 years in prison as a result.

According to the consul general, over five Pakistanis received life sentences, and most of them were deported. He advised them not to share or transmit any such material on social media, warning them that doing so would result in legal action being taken against them.

In the United Arab Emirates, people of almost 200 different ethnicities and religions coexist peacefully, according to Bakheet. He stated there are more than 1.8 million Pakistanis living in the United Arab Emirates. Pakistanis were urged by the envoy to avoid bringing their political disagreements to Dubai. According to him, Pakistani nationals engaged in this kind of promotion are being questioned about acquiring an Emirates visa.

In answer to a query, Bakheet stated that there were no limitations on UAE visas. He said that the requirements for UAE visas have been increased. “Not only are visas being given to Pakistanis, all possible facilities are being provided in the Consulate,” he said. Before traveling to Dubai, he advised Pakistanis to explore other tourist destinations or the country’s northern regions.
