Three more cases of Omicron variant reported in Islamabad

Three more Omicron cases were reported from Islamabad on Wednesday. The total number of COVID-19 cases of the Omicron variant in the federal capital rose to 20.

According to media reports, people who live with the new Omicron patients and those who came in contact with them are being traced.

It is to be mentioned here that the first case of COVID-19 Omicron variant in Islamabad was reported on December 25. The National Institute of Health (NIH) had confirmed 75 cases of Omicron so far in Pakistan.

According to NIH, 33 cases are registered in Karachi so far where the first case was reported on December 13, 2021 while Lahore reported 13 cases. Seventeen cases of the Omicron variant have so far been reported from Islamabad apart from the new cases.
