Afridi felicitates Pakistan for becoming number 1 ODI team in ICC Ranking

The former captain of the Pakistan Cricket Team, Shahid Afridi has congratulated the home team for winning the fourth match of the series against the Kiwis and becoming the number one ODI team in ICC ranking.

According to the details, Shahid Afridi expressed his views in a statement on social networking website Twitter. He said that winning by 102 runs and becoming the number one ODI team is fantastic.

Afridi also congratulated captain Babar Azam for completing 5000 runs in ODIs and scoring a century in the match. He also praised the bowling of Usama Mir and Wasim Junior in the fourth ODI. He wrote that the entire nation is proud of the boys. You have raised our hopes for the upcoming World Cup.

It is pertinent to mention here that before the start of the five-match ODI series between Pakistan and New Zealand, Pakistan’s ranking was fifth. Pakistan has won all four matches of the series against New Zealand so far and has secured the first position in the ICC ODI ranking.
