A delegation of the Al-Jomaih Group of Saudi Arabia called on Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar in Islamabad today (Thursday, January 25).

According to the media reports, the four-member delegation was led by the Head of the Al-Jomaih Group Sheikh Abdulaziz Hamad Al-Jumaih. The delegation apprised the Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan about new investment projects of renewable energy to produce 1500 megawatts of electricity. The delegation has made a massive investment in the Karachi-Electric. Local and renewable energy resources will be utilized to produce electricity under the new projects.

Welcoming the Saudi investment, the Prime Minister said Islamabad and Riyadh have long-standing brotherly ties which are getting stronger with time. He expressed the belief that Karachi Electric will further improve its infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted power supply to domestic and industrial consumers.

The Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan said that the K-Electric investment strategy in the alternative energy sector will help reduce power tariffs for consumers.
