The Hollywood actress, Angelina Jolie is moving on from her divorce with actor Brad Pitt by getting rid of his expensive gifts.
According to Page Six, Angelina Jolie sold off her Winston Churchill painting for a record-breaking $11.5million on Monday.
The reports said that the 1943 painting by the former Prime Minister of United Kingdom, titled ‘Tower of the Koutoubia Mosque’, was bought by Brad Pitt as a gift for Angelina Jolie for $2.95 million in 2011 from a New Orleans antique dealer, M.S. Rau.
The 43 year old American actress has sold off the masterpiece to a mystery bidder at Christie’s “Modern British Art Evening Sale” auction in London.
According to Art Newspaper, the individual who bought the painting from Angelina Jolie also got their hands on two more pieces by Churchill included in the sale.
