Canada bans Chinese video sharing application TikTok in the country.

According to the media reports, the spokesperson of the Canadian government has said that there are unacceptable risks to privacy and security with the use of the TikTok application.

A Canadian government spokesperson said the decision was made after a review by the Chief Information Officer. He said that after the review Canada bans TikTok in the country.

On the other hand, the TikTok spokesperson has expressed disappointment over Canada’s decision.

It should be noted that the White House in America has given 30-day time to the federal agencies to implement the ban on TikTok.

According to foreign media, government agencies have 30 days to delete TikTok from federal devices and systems.

Earlier, the European Commission has also banned China’s video sharing app TikTok.
